Kiwi River Safaris was established in 1995 by, husband and wife team, Simon and Julie McLeod. They met while rafting in Colorado in 1991. After working as raft guides for several years in both New Zealand and the USA, we combined the best rafting ideas from both countries to create our own rafting business in Taupo. 2011 has seen some exciting developments, the company has new partners Luke and Pianika Boddington who are based in Turangi. Simon and Julie are still very active in the day to day operations of the business. KRS offers a wide range of river tours, provides great equipment and delivers the highest level of customer service. We pride ourselves on showing our guests a fantastic day on the river!
