Mohaka gorge (one day)

Skip the over night on the river (see Mohaka gorge, two day trip) and go straight to the lower Mohaka Gorge. Spectacular rocky cliffs, at times 150 metres high, line the river banks. High volume grade 4-5 rapids, with impressive drops and waves are broken up by boulders the size of houses sitting in the river. This is a big day out rafting, and trips only run upon request for groups of 8 or more.
