Mohaka River
The Mohaka River provides a unique playground for groups wanting more time on the river or an overnight rafting and camping experience. Guests can spend up to five hours on the river each day.
The upper section of the river has gentle waves and rapids running through green native bush. This is an ideal location for teaching basic raft guiding skills, having water fights and taking it easy on the river. The lower section provides some classic grade 3 entertainment with big wave trains and technical boulder strewn rapids cutting through rocky gorges.
There are several beautiful riverside campsites along the way. Our overnight trip is only availabe to groups that can provide their own food, camping gear and kitchen equipment. This allows us to offer you the overnight experience at a price you can afford and allows you to control the type and amount of food you eat.
